LinkedIn Lead Enricher Chrome Extension — Last updated: April 24, 2026

1. Overview

LinkedIn Lead Enricher ("the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension that reads publicly visible LinkedIn profile pages you navigate to and saves the extracted data locally on your device. This policy explains exactly what data is touched, where it goes, and what is never done with it.

2. Data Collected

When you visit a LinkedIn profile page (linkedin.com/in/*), the Extension reads the following fields that are rendered in your browser's DOM:
  • Full name, job title, company name, and location
  • LinkedIn profile URL
  • Experience, education, and skills sections
  • About / summary text
  • Connection degree and mutual connection count
  • A client-side guessed company domain (derived from the company name — no external lookup is made)
No passwords, private messages, InMail content, contact information hidden behind LinkedIn's "Contact info" overlay, or any financial data is ever read.

3. How Data Is Stored

All lead data is stored exclusively in chrome.storage.local on your own device. Data never leaves your browser except through the optional Google Sheets sync described in Section 4.

4. Google Sheets Sync (Optional)

If you choose to connect Google Sheets, the Extension uses chrome.identity to obtain an OAuth 2.0 access token from Google. This token is held in the extension's service worker memory only and is never written to disk, logged, or transmitted to any server other than sheets.googleapis.com. The token is used solely to append lead rows to a spreadsheet you own in your own Google account. You may disconnect at any time via the Settings page, which clears the stored Sheet ID.

5. Data Sharing

The Extension does not:
  • Send any profile data or personal information to any third-party server
  • Use analytics, crash-reporting, or telemetry SDKs
  • Share, sell, or rent any data to any party
  • Track browsing history or read pages outside linkedin.com/in/*

6. Permissions Justification

  • storage — saves leads and settings locally on your device
  • identity — obtains a Google OAuth token for the optional Sheets sync
  • tabs — queries the active tab URL to confirm the user is on a LinkedIn profile before requesting a scrape
  • host permission: linkedin.com — injects the content script that reads profile DOM
  • host permission: sheets.googleapis.com — makes authorized API calls to append rows to your Google Sheet

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Lead data persists in chrome.storage.local until you explicitly delete it via the "Clear All Leads" button in the Extension Settings page, or until you uninstall the Extension. Uninstalling the Extension removes all locally stored data.

8. Children's Privacy

The Extension is intended for business sales development use and is not directed at children under 13. No data from children is knowingly collected.

9. Changes to This Policy

If this policy is updated, the "Last updated" date above will change. Continued use of the Extension after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
